About Our Family
Welcome to Alpha Mountain Lodging — an Indigenous family-owned getaway in Revelstoke, BC, where adventure, quiet moments, and mountain views all meet. We’re Charlene and Logan, parents to two wild and wonderful kids and proud humans of Rogue, our Alaskan Malamute who inspired the “Alpha” in our name. Our story started back in 2017 when we traded Alberta life for the dream of living in the mountains. We fell in love with Revelstoke, bought 25 acres of forest, built our home, and slowly began turning our ideas (and a lot of sketches, late nights, and coffee) into what you see today.
By 2019 we were building cabins — with huge help from our parents — and navigating the classic “one step forward, two steps back” of DIY life. In late 2022, we opened our first four modern-rustic lodges, complete with a cedar-barrel sauna and The Den, our custom gear-drying building. In spring 2024, we added our 1 km Kihîw Nature Trail, a peaceful interpretive loop highlighting native plants, wildlife, and cultural connections. And in late summer 2025, we proudly expanded to six lodges with the addition of two new studio-style cabins — another big milestone for our family dream. We’re also proudly Biosphere Certified, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and protecting the land we love. Since we live right on the property, we’re always close by if you need anything.
Our land sits within the traditional territories of the Sinixt, Secwepemc, Syilx, and Ktunaxa peoples. We honour the deep history, culture, and responsibility that comes with being here, and we try to reflect that in the way we build, operate, and care for this place.
Revelstoke is an incredible backyard — world-class biking, sledding, skiing, hiking, or simply watching the sun hit the mountains from your cabin windows. Alpha Mountain Lodging is our family’s passion project, shaped by a lot of grit, community support, and love. We’re so excited to welcome you and share this little piece of the mountains with you.
Logan
Owner/ Builder/ Maintenance/ Machine Operator/ Everything in Between
HERITAGE: Mountain Metis, first inhabitants of what is now known as Jasper National Park.
HOMETOWN: Brule, AB
CAREER: Before managing the cabins full-time, worked as a Journeyman Instrument Technician in the natural gas sector.
FAVOURITE BUILDING MEMORY: Hitting the aquifer at 220ft producing 100gpm.
WORST PROJECT MEMORY: Septic System. Took us 2 attempts almost a year apart due to lots of mud, stuck machines, and atmospheric rivers.
FAVORITE THING AT ALPHA MOUNTAIN LODGING: Our new Gear Drying Building – was the most casual build of this project.
Charlene

HERITAGE: Dutch Canadian
HOMETOWN: Early years in Kawarau, NZ, then Hinton, AB.
CAREER: Also works as a Registered Dietitian for Interior Health.
FAVOURITE BUILDING MEMORY: Designing the interiors and picking the decor.
WORST PROJECT MEMORY: Lots! But probably installing siding while 5 months pregnant during the severe atmospheric rivers of November 2021.
FAVORITE THING AT ALPHA MOUNTAIN LODGING: The flora and fauna.
RANDOM FACT: Huge animal lover— volunteers at the local wildlife rescue and foster’s dogs looking for their forever home.
